Great way to quickly, securely and discreetly mount an Apple AirTag to any of your powersports toys so that in the event of a loss or theft you would be able to track down your stolen bike with the help of the ‘Find My’ iPhone app.

Airtag’s size means the availability of its hiding locations is
onlylimited by the creativity of its owner, it can potentially fit in many hiding locations on a bike and this is a big plus especially when real estate on motorcycles can be extremely limited depending on the vehicle
• More than 40,000 motorcycles are stolen each year in the United States
• 80% are from the owner’s home and 85% are never recovered
• 50% of owners do not lock their bikes

Apples’ new AirTag is a super-easy way to keep track of your belongings. It sends out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by nearby devices in the Find My network. These devices send the location of your AirTag to iCloud — then youcan go to the Find My app and see it on a map. The whole process is anonymous and encrypted to protect your privacy. And its efficient, so there’s no need to worry about battery life or data usage. The replaceable lithium coin battery lasts up to one year.
Apple Say: “If AirTag is separated from its owner and out of Bluetooth range, the Find My network can help track it down."
The Find My network is approaching a billion Apple devices and can detect Bluetooth signals from a lost AirTag and relay the location back to its owner, all in the background, anonymously and privately.
Users can also place AirTag into Lost Mode and be notified when it is in range or has been located by the vast Find My network. If a lost AirTag is found by someone, they can tap it using their iPhone or any NFC-capable device and be taken to a website that will display a contact phone number for the owner, if they have provided one.”to a website that will display a contact phone number for the owner, if they have provided one.”
1. Remove all the components from the packaging, then start by unscrewing the three rear security screws from the back plate using the security key supplied.
2. Ensure your AirTag is set up and connected to your FindMy App onyour iPhone.
3. Remove the rear door plate then place your AirTag into the slot with the silver battery cover facing down towards the recess inside the front plate.
4. Place the rear door plate back into place then re-install the 3 security screws. Do not overtighten the screws!
5. Once the AirTag is installed into the holder choose your mounting location, such as a cable hidden below the seat or around the engine bay, out of sight. Do not mount directly next to parts or components that get hot,
are critical control systems & mechanical parts.
8. Finally tighten the security screw with the security key supplied.
Do not overtighten the screw!
